The United States gives full approval for the use of the Moderna vaccine to combat Corona

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the adoption of a recommendation to give full approval to the Spikefax vaccine produced by Moderna against the emerging coronavirus, Covid-19, after it had previously obtained approval for emergency use in the United States.

The Director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Rochelle Walinsky, said in a statement Friday evening that she agreed to recommend the Moderna vaccine for people 18 years of age and older.

We now have another vaccine against Covid-19 that has full approval, she added, renewing the call of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to vaccinate and obtain a booster dose for eligible individuals.

Last Monday, the US Food and Drug Administration announced the full approval of the Moderna vaccine for use as a second vaccine against the Corona virus.

The administration said, in a statement, that the public can be assured that the Spikefax vaccine meets the administration's standards for safety, efficacy, and manufacturing quality required for any vaccine approved for use in the United States.

She described the approval of the Moderna vaccine as an important step to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, noting that full and final approval is limited to adults aged 18 years and over.

It is noteworthy that, at the end of last August, the Pfizer vaccine had obtained full approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for people aged 16 years and over.
