On Saturday, the Ukrainian government addressed social media; In order to  block Russian propaganda  in light of the Russian invasion that began last Thursday.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, published the text of the letters Kiev sent to the companies that own the various social media platforms, in order to protect  Ukrainian youth  from exposure to such propaganda.

 I have resorted to YouTube to block the means of Russian propaganda, which I call Nazism, and campaigns of lies and propaganda for war  the minister said.

The Ukrainian minister called on Meta to ban Russian advertising on Facebook and Instagram, noting that he had asked Netflix to ban the service in Russia.

 The goal is not to deprive Russians of access to information, but to prevent them from reaching young people and intellectuals in Ukraine  the Ukrainian official said in a statement he shared on his Facebook page on Saturday.

In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine revealed that Russia is facing problems in accessing Apple Play in the country.

 *** Cryptocurrencies

The minister also announced Ukraine's efforts to counter Russian activities via the blockchain community.

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine said that his country is ready to offer a reward for any information about cryptocurrencies to Russian and Belarusian politicians and their immediate entourage.

He added in his post: In conditions of war, political criminals and their followers may try to withdraw their capital into cryptocurrencies  We will pursue them  All their cryptocurrencies will be marked, and their value will be zero.

From the first day of the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, media reports in Kiev warned of a war of another kind being waged by Moscow  represented by the weapon of rumors and the dissemination of false information in order to affect the morale of the Ukrainians in the framework of  psychological warfare .

The Ukrainian "24 News" channel quoted Oleksiy Aristovich, the former spokesman of the Ukrainian delegation to the tripartite contact group, in which he warned that the Russian media would manipulate the Ukrainians, through reports republished by Western media whose main source is Russia.
