Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine is possible if he takes into account Russia's interests in the field of security.

Vladimir Putin assured his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, today, Monday, that Ukraine's neutrality and disarmament are conditions for a settlement of the Ukraine crisis.

For his part, Macron reiterated the international community's demands to stop the Russian offensive in Ukraine, and Putin also urged a halt to all attacks on civilians in Ukraine and to preserve civilian infrastructure and provide safe corridors to the main roads, specifically south of Kyiv.

President Putin confirmed his readiness to abide by these three points the Elysee Palace said, adding that Macron and Putin also agreed to stay in touch in the coming days, according to Reuters.
