A new study was conducted at Vagelos College in the state of Columbia in which experts and scientists focused on uncovering the link between Alzheimer's and the Corona virus. After they noticed changes in the brain of 10 people who died after being infected with the Corona virus.

What the experts found was microtubule hyperphosphorylation in the brains of these patients. This excess is often linked to an advanced stage of Alzheimer's disease.

Commenting on this discovery, the head of the department of physiology and cellular biophysics at that college, Andrew Marks, stated that the results indicate that those who were severely infected with the Corona virus could be more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease in the future during their lives.

In his statements, he pointed out the need to conduct more research and studies on the relationship between Alzheimer's and Corona to reach more specific results regarding this matter.

For its part, the results of the study were also published in the Alzheimer’s and dementia journal, but it stressed the need to do more research on this topic, especially since it was conducted on only ten people. In addition, it mentioned some possible explanations for the memory problems of those recovering from Corona who reported these symptoms that they feel, without it being directly related to Alzheimer's disease.
